Are you a game developer? looking to implement RumbleX into your games? Well you are in luck, RumbleX is a free platform and is very easy to build into your games.
The SDK is available for J2ME (java) and Android, we are working on an iPhone version of the SDK!
With various services that can be easily implemented into your games, RumbleX offers developers a fully running community and an easy way to get your games connected.
Games can have multiple high scoring tables, so that scores can be split up per level, puzzle, racing-circuit, etc. Using the RumbleX Achievements, you can reward player for reaching certain goals.
All this is maintainable by the developer and easy to setup.
The best place to start is by reading the introduction in our documentation. It will explain how to get a developer account, and start toying around with the RumbleX SDK.
RumbleX Ranking is the core of our services, it provides developers with uploading and retrieving of highscores. You can use multiple score tables for every game, so you can split up the highscores per level, difficulty level or any other way you see fit.
Players will be able to keep track of their own highscores, see all highscores sorted "Daily", "Weekly", "Monthly" or "All time". They can see their personal best and their highest rank in the global rankings.
Further more, players will receive awards for being day-leaders or gold, bronze and silver medals for being 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the All time rankings. All the daily awards are saved on a players personal profile. New board leaders will be anounced on the front page of the RumbleX website.
RumbleX Website API allows 3rd parties to get information on scores, achievements, awards, games and players using simple REST calls. Want to display the last scores of your game on your website? You can easily get that information using simple javascript on your website..
The web API simply returns raw data, and using a combination of javascript, html and css you can format it to fit the style of your website
RumbleX Achievements are very similiar to the xBox Live achievements, you can setup a number of achievements (rewards) for your game. For example, you could reward a player with the "Game Completion" achievement, or give rewards for finding all bonus rooms.
The achievement descriptions and titles are completely free to setup by the developer to fit the game. You can specify the amount of points a certain achievement is worth. This point system will be used in the RumbleX system, in the near future, to give players a global ranking and skill points.
On the player's profile page the achievements will be listed for every game along with the date the achievement reward was given.
With RumbleX Micropayments, you can have players make purchases from within your game. The payments are handled by ClickPayGo a service provided by Chillingo.
Micropayments can be used for basically anything you can think of, some examples would be:
